River Almond Action Group is joining forces with West Lothian Climate Action Network and Save Our Shore Leith to bring together community groups in West Lothian and beyond to address inland water management and water-based climate change adaptation in Scotland.
Saturday 28th September, Lowport Centre, Linlithgow, West Lothian.
An event to raise community voices demanding action on Scotland’s water quality in a climate emergency
What is the aim of the Confluence?
The ‘confluence’ will bring together community representatives to share our experiences of pollution, flood management, biodiversity and riparian landscape management. We will then join forces to form and ratify a set of specific ‘asks’ of statutory bodies and the Scottish Government to ensure clean, safe, biodiverse water environments in Scotland.
Who is the Confluence for?
The Confluence is for any community groups, professionals and members interested in working for cleaner rivers and lochs in West Lothian and the rest of Scotland; fishers, dog walkers, swimmers, paddlesports enthusiasts, photographers, environmentalists, farmers and land workers, academics and anyone else invested in our inland waterways.
Location
Lowport Centre in Linlithgow, West Lothian.
